“Usually the idea first comes when Robert Benaquista composes. Sometimes it's a riff, other times it's a special rhythm or something else entirely. And once it's stored in the back of his mind, he lets his instincts take over until the song begins to take shape. It is otherwise inexplicable and just happens spontaneously in the moment.
I get most of my inspiration from musicians who think outside the box and don't write music with the sole aim of pleasing the masses. Horror novels, horror movies and funny folk tales that have created fear and terror are also something that sets me thinking about music, he says."
